Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX: Refined Sport-Tourer for 2025
Kawasaki has unveiled the Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX, a refreshed version of its popular sport-touring motorcycle, the Ninja 1000SX, for the 2025 model year. This update comes a few months after the Versys 1100, and we can see that it got the same updates.
The Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX boasts a slightly larger engine, now displacing 1,099cc, which has been stroked to deliver improved low-end torque. The bhp figure has now dropped to 134 with the bike delivering 83.2 Nm of torque at 7,600 rpm compared with the prior figure of 81.9 Nm at 8,000 rpm.
Improved Tractability and Highway Performance
In the Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX, Kawasaki decided to work on low-end torque so as to make the bike more responsive during slow speed indications. This should improve riding pleasure especially in urban areas and the tracks characterized with many turns and corners.
To further improve the Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX’s highway performance, the transmission has been updated with longer fifth and sixth gears. This alteration should make the bike more comfortable for long distance and also more efficient during such a ride, the increased torque should however not compromise on the bikes’ sensitivity to a rider’s throttle input at lower rpm.
Two Variants: Standard and SE
The Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX will be available in two variants: standard and SE. With the SE model, there are refined features, such as Brembo M4.32 front calipers, an increase in the size of the brake rotors, the use of a new master cylinder as well as the Öhlins S46 rear monoshock with remote preload adjuster.
Nevertheless, both Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX models have inherited a rather opulent array of electronics. A standard IMU handles safety services including the antilock braking system and traction control; long-range comfortable riding comes courtesy of electronic cruise control.
Enhanced Electronics and Connectivity
The Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX features an improved up and down quick-shifter, which is now active from 1,500 rpm, a significant improvement over the previous model’s 2,500 rpm activation point. Some of the elements that riders can adjust include; The Kawasaki 4.3-inch TFT display and the Kawasaki Rideology smartphone application.
While the updates to the Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX may seem minor, they collectively contribute to a more refined and capable sport-touring experience. However, origination position and performance improvement aspect has been retained at the same price of the previous model contrary to general price hike normally caused by inflation.
Pricing and Availability
The standard Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX will have an MSRP of $13,699 USD, while the SE variant will be priced at $15,399 USD. The standard will be available with a Metallic Carbon Gray / Metallic Diablo Black to complete while SE will feature Emerald Blazed Green / Metallic Diablo Black color schemes.
