Motorola has only released information that it is working on the new ThinkPhone 25, a smartphone that it directs at business people in need of sturdy and efficient mid-tier handset. The ThinkPhone 25 is an improved version of last year’s Lenovo ThinkPhone by Motorola and there are lots of changes here and there.

ThinkPhone 25 comes with an outlook borrowed from the ThinkPad line of laptops and the back cover is made of Aramid Fiber material. The novelty is built on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip, which is less powerful than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, with which the predecessor was equipped. The ThinkPhone 25 has a triple-camera system at the back: core camera 50MP, ultra-wide-angle camera 13MP, and telephoto camera 10MP. This is a major step up from its predecessor which came without a telephoto lens. As for the front side, there is a 32MP selfie and videocall shooter.

Battery capacity for the ThinkPhone 25 has also been downgraded to 4,310mAh from 5,000mAh in the previous model. However, the device supports 68W wired charging and 15W wireless charging, meaning users can always put substantial charge back should the battery run low.

Pricing and Availability

Thus, although Motorola did not disclose the North American pricing for the ThinkPhone 25, it said that it will cost €499, or around $550, in Europe. Compared to the previous model the ThinkPhone 25 may find increased appeal with business users who want a rugged reliable smartphone at a lower cost.
